Biomedical Science

This course is designed for those following careers as biomedical scientists in the wider context of biomedical science (including biopharmaceutical and bioindustries).

Get an academically challenging and vocationally relevant science education to develop your career in biosciences, pharmaceutical or bio-industries.

You will have the option to take specialisms in Cellular pathology, Clinical chemistry, Haematology, and Medical microbiology. A number of modules can also be taken individually as continued professional development (CPD) activity.

If you meet the eligibility criteria of corporate membership of the Institue of Biomedical Science and active engagement in CPD this course provides you with eligibility for the title of Chartered Scientist. It is not a suitable qualification for the purposes of Health and Care Professions Council registration in the UK.

Accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and approved by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
