Energy Storage

Embark on a professional career in energy storage by getting the high-level skills needed to meet emerging challenges. Through lectures and tutorials, you will explore the processes of designing, producing and managing complex energy storage systems and will be able to apply this knowledge and skill in identifying, developing, analysing and critically appraising solutions to a range of energy storage strategies.

In the United States, it is predicted that there will be over 350,000 energy storage jobs by 2025. The EU will support a new battery manufacturing industry with 200m Euro investment. The UK Clean Growth Strategy reports over 430,000 people are employed in the low carbon sector and 17,750 jobs are linked with the growing energy storage and electric vehicle industry. An exciting and growing industry, this course will boost your employability in energy transmission companies, energy distribution companies, energy supply companies, consultancies, or public sector at a regional or national government level.

Students are encouraged to obtain membership of the Energy Institute and will be made aware of visits from representatives.
