International Management

The CEMS programme offers a mix of components that seek to blend academic rigour with practitioner experience. It is internationally focused, interdisciplinary, highly interactive and aims to equip students with the necessary analytical and cross cultural skills required to work within the international management domain. We place a high importance on language and practical skills, which are essential to kick-start your professional career and adjust to an international management environment.

This unique dual degree course is targeted at graduates with a business/economics background, proven fluency in English and an additional CEMS-accredited language (plus another language), interpersonal skills, as well as a clear desire to attain an international managerial position.

What will I learn?
The MScIM/CEMS MIM course provides a direct bridge between the academic and corporate worlds, combining the top-level academic theory of leading academics from the member schools and the in-the-field expertise of corporate partners of the CEMS alliance. 1. The academic knowledge and practical skills required to operate within globalised businesses and multinational teams.

Entry requirements

You must have:
A minimum second-class honours (Grade 1) degree (or equivalent) in Business/Commerce/Business Administration or a related discipline.

You must submit two letters of recommendation as part of your application (Academic or Employer recommendations only).

You must also attend an interview as part of the selection process.

English Language Requirements
Candidates will need 2 languages (one to be English) however, preference will be given to candidates who have three or more languages. The CEMS MIM degree requires at least a basic level of ability in a third language for graduation. Opportunities to acquire same will be offered throughout the course.

English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language an English language qualification is required for admission to all of our courses. The exception to this rule is if you have completed your primary degree or an entire third level qualification through English, in an English speaking country.

Transcripts
An academic transcript is a document(s) provided by the academic institution where you undertake your studies. This is an official document which states all of the subjects you have undertaken during your studies and what grade you have achieved in each of those subjects, including your overall final grade if you have completed your qualification. Official or original academic transcripts are documents printed on the official headed paper of the institution where you studied and should be stamped by that institution. If this document is not in english you should arrange to have it translated.

Subjects taught

This multi-facetted course comprises an introductory block seminar, two CEMS core modules, plus a number of option modules. Option modules enable students to deepen their knowledge in a specific domain or acquire a broad set of competencies. Other requirements comprise a business project, skills seminars, a ten-week international internship and the Business Research Insights Paper as part of the course.
