Since EMBA participants come from all types of academic disciplines and professional backgrounds, you'll learn alongside accountants, artists, engineers, doctors, marketing professionals, non-profit leaders, and many more.

With a wide range of industries represented in our intimate classroom settings, participants on the UCD Smurfit EMBA are prepared to reflect on their strengths, gain a broader perspective, and determine the most fruitful career path to achieve their personal goals.

Academic Engagement

We have 50 years' experience in delivering the MBA. Learning is both classroom and project-based, emphasizing your abilities as a leader through team projects and global experiences, and working with a company for your Capstone Project. Case method learning puts you at the helm of leading companies as you debate and collaborate with classmates about changing markets, short timelines, and complicated policies. In addition, with an open-door policy, the dedicated MBA Programme Office staff is here to support you on your EMBA journey.

Networking for Success

Becoming a member of our academic community connects you to 3,500 MBA alumni. Many stay involved throughout their lives in clubs, the MBA Alumni Association and the 33 UCD chapters in 22 countries across the globe.

Personal & Career Development
The Learning Development Programme and dedicated MBA Careers Service sharpen your self-awareness and leadership skills and provide one-on-one coaching and team workshops to maximize impact in your chosen industry and function.

Global Focus, Local Immersion
As well as tackling real-world questions in the classroom and if you travel to a dynamic market in semester 2, your professors bring global perspectives since 50+% come from outside Ireland. Dublin provides a culturally diverse home for our MBA as the IT capital of Europe, with start-up companies and large firms around each city block.
