Management for Healthcare Professionals

This 10 credit level 9 special purpose award will be delivered over one semester using a blended learning approach

Learning Outcomes
Provide students with appropriate knowledge and personal skills to enable them to contribute effectively to the management of health services. Programme will provide opportunities for the student to develop and enhance their knowledge of relevant management theory, tools and best practice

Course Structure
The course will be delivered using workshops spread over the semester with online work being completed by students in between the workshops.

Entry requirements

Working as a healthcare professional e.g. registered nurse

Hold a minimum qualification of an NFQ Level 8 degree in Nursing

Applicants who do not hold the standard qualifying NFQ Level 8 qualification criteria, but have the relevant work experience may be considered for admission to the programme under the Institutes Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process and subject to an interview
