What you will be doing

Our Software Development team ‘makes tomorrow happen’ by helping to digitise Glanbia to drive new value. The team is made up of 15 people developing intuitive software that exceeds our customers’ requirements across diverse areas including the SAP ERP System, Neptune App development, Integration, Workflow and in SAP modules SCM, FI/CO, MM, PP, PM, QM, WM.

Working in a fast-paced, innovative environment where the focus is on continuous improvement and the challenge to make it better, you’ll be responsible for:

• SAP ABAP Development in our SAP ERP System
• Web Application Development for Ecommerce Systems involving Java, Spring, Web services & Cloud technologies.
• Working within multi-disciplinary project teams on Glanbia systems implementation projects including code development, unit testing, issue resolution and post-live support
• Developing programming skills through external / internal courses and research
• Liaising with internal functional analysts to develop business solutions
• Designing, implementing, and validating of enhancements to ensure these meet design specifications
• Conducting research and development in emerging technologies

• High academic record to date in the following fields of study: Computer Science/Engineering, Software Development or related discipline; and expected minimum of a 2.1 honours primary degree
• Ambition to progress successfully in a career in IT in an exciting, ever-changing and challenging environment
• Thinks commercially and delivers customer centric solutions
• Drives collaboration and builds partnerships to meet shared objectives
• Communicates clearly and can influence at all levels
