In Ireland, Abbott employs over 5,000 people across nine sites. We currently have six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. Quality Internship

As a Science Internship Student you will gain:

• Hands on Experience while promoting your personal and professional growth.

What are we looking for?

Eligible applicants should be:

• Pursuing a third level Undergraduate or Post Graduate a Science/Engineering inclusive of Biochemical, Biomedical Bio Science or Pharma or a discipline that has quality modules.
• Excellent communicators, team players and Innovators.
• Passionate about STEM and interested in pursuing a career in a STEM environment.
• Candidates should be striving towards a 2.1 Grade in their degree course.
• Available to commence a 9 or 12 month placement in 2024.
• Flexibility to be based in Galway

R&D Internship

As a R&D Internship Student you will

What are we looking for?

Eligible applicants should be:

• Pursuing a third level Undergraduate or Post Graduate Engineering or Science Qualification.
• Excellent communicators, team players and Innovators.
• Passionate about STEM and interested in pursuing a career in a STEM environment.
• Candidates should be striving towards a 2.1 Grade in their degree course.
• Available to commence a 9 or 12 month placement, Ideally starting in January 2024
• Flexibility to be based at our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics site in Galway.

Sustainability Internship

As a Sustainability Internship Student you will gain:

What are we looking for?

Eligible applicants should be:

• Pursuing a third level undergraduate or post graduate qualification with a primary focus on sustainability in a Science, Engineering, Humanities, Business or Social Sciences discipline.
• Excellent communicators, team players and Innovators.
• Passionate about STEM and interested in pursuing a career in a STEM environment.
• Candidates should be striving towards a 2.1 Grade in their degree course.
• Available to commence a 9 or 12 month placement in 2024.
• Flexibility to be based at our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics site in Galway.

To support our diverse businesses assignments, a Science Internship / Placement with Abbott Ireland could involve working in Solution Preparation, In-Process Testing, Product Formulation, Process Development, Documentation Review & Approval, Research and Development, Quality areas as well as general Laboratory work.
