Led by Jameson, Irish Distillers’ brands are driving a global renaissance in Irish whiskey. Jameson is the world’s best-known Irish whiskey, exported to over 130 markets and hitting sales of 8 million cases in recent years. Irish Distillers was formed in 1966, when a merger took place between John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and Cork Distilleries Company. In 1988 Irish Distillers joined Pernod Ricard, gaining access to unprecedented levels of investment and an extensive global distribution network. We employ over 600 people across our operations in Cork, Dublin and Belfast.

About Supply Chain

Our Supply Chain team manage the flow of our many different products to ensure they are in the right place at the right time.  Our vision is to 'proudly align people and systems to deliver success in every case'. The pace is fast and we need to be agile, so we can maximise productivity and continuously improve. The team acts as an important link between the customer and Irish Distillers through the management of all shipping and service requirements for our Global market companies and our 3rd party logistics operations in the Domestic Market.

The team are divided into 6 key business areas;

  • Demand Planning
  • International Customer Relationship Team

Working alongside the team at our Operations site in Clondalkin will help shape you, build your confidence and your personal development skills. The Irish Distillers Internship will allow you network with and learn from our busy team who are on hand to help you understand and apply the theory you learn in college to our real life production environment.

What’s involved?

You will work alongside our busy Supply Chain team and gain access to real responsibilities with the opportunity to develop a broad range of soft and technical skills. Our ambition is to give you as much exposure as possible to a real life Supply Chain work environment to allow you uncover your main areas of interest. You will help us build out our processes, drive continuous improvement and help us leverage our technology to deliver best in class results.  From supply planning, demand planning and transformation projects, there has never been a more exciting time to join Irish Distillers.

What we’re looking for

  • Currently pursuing a Supply Chain Management qualification or similar
  • Good teamwork and ability to develop interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Self sufficient and innovative
  • Good communication techniques
