Junior Buyer

We are adding to our Purchasing team and are recruiting a Junior Buyer in Ballymount, Dublin .

Role Purpose:

Manage the purchasing process centrally for a number of products/suppliers to ensure a set number of branches have adequate stock available to meet the needs of their customers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Central Processing of Purchase Orders for direct delivery to branches/Central Warehouse.
• Liaising with Branch Personnel on any Product Shortages/Spikes in Demand.
• Using Supplier On-Line Portals to avail of any additional discounts that suppliers offer.
• Processing of Transfer Orders where applicable from Central Stocks to Branches.
• Help with Product Maintenance in terms of price changes and New Product Introduction.
• Any other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Education that includes an element of Supply Chain is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and be able to prioritize and work well under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to deal on a regular basis with colleagues and suppliers.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Fluency in English both written and spoken.
• MS Office: Excel and Outlook.
