Sperrin Metal design, develop and manufacture a range of industrial storage solutions including various pallet racking, steel lockers, Mezzanine floors and shelving. Its has been in production since 1963 and Sperrin Metal employ in the excess of 100 people in our world class manufacturing facilities across the UK & Ireland. Our largest facility is in Draperstown, N. Ireland covering a vast 150,000sq feet.

Job Description

This new Project Manager / Mechanical Engineer will have the responsibility for the development of a new pallet racking system and associated manufacturing processes.

The role will also be responsible for the successful delivery of a new pallet racking system, working closely with various departments such as Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality.

The successful graduate will lead this project, in a supportive partnership with Dundalk Institute of Technology and will also have the opportunity to avail of a Post Graduate Diploma with Queen’s University Belfast as part of the employment offering.

Essential Criteria:

• Hons Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering (or related disciplines)
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Solidworks)
• Legally permitted to work in the UK

Desirable Criteria:

• Strong Analytical approach to solving engineering problems.
• In depth knowledge of Finite Element Analysis methods for use with beam elements.
• Excellent technical communication skills
• Materials knowledge
