Are you in the penultimate year of university? If so, you can take part in our acclaimed paid internships programme. It gives you priceless insights into the real world of work. You'll get exposure to everything that goes on in our dynamic, fast-paced environment. You'll work on projects, contribute to your team's success and make a difference.

As part of your eight-week internship experience, you'll take part in our Employability Programme. Here, you'll learn about business, interpersonal skills and teamwork, present to senior partners, show what you've learned and how far you've come.

Entry requirements

To take part in our summer internship programme, you must be in your second-last year of university. We accept summer internship applications from students from all disciplines and degrees.

You should be on track to achieve a 2.1 Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Internship locations

Our programmes run in our Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and South East (i.e., Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford) offices.

You have a choice of specialist areas depending on the location:

  • Dublin: Assurance, Consulting, Deals Advisory, Risk Assurance and Tax
  • Cork: Assurance and Tax
  • Limerick and Galway: Assurance and Tax
  • South East: Assurance and Tax

Must I have studied accountancy or business to join PwC?

No. Our summer internship programme is open to students from all disciplines and degrees.

Can I apply for more than one position?

You can choose which area of the business you would like to intern in, and express a preference for your second choice.

How will I know if I've been successful?

Successful candidates will be called for an interview soon after the closing date.

What will I learn in my internship experience?

You will learn a wide variety of skills, including:

  • Digital skills, innovation and creativity as part of our Digital Academy, as well as learning the internal programs and applications we use to support our client work
  • People skills, including building relationships, interacting, working in teams, diversity and inclusion
  • Soft skills, including presentation skills, time management, personal responsibility and assertiveness
  • Research, reporting and business writing skills
  • Social media and social networking skills
