Using a mixture of on-the-job training, practical experience and further professional qualifications, we help graduates enhance their existing skills to achieve their career goals.
ABP Food Group works with a network of over 45,000 farmers and is renowned for paying its suppliers on the day of delivery at strategically located local abattoirs that minimise animal transport distances.
ABP Food Group contributes an estimated €1.3bn each year into the rural economies in which it operates.
We recognise that the farmers who supply meat to us are vital partners in ensuring that the quality of our product is maintained and traceability is ensured.
Our core business - ABP Beef - is supported by its renewable, pet food and protein divisions, which combine to ensure the value of by-products is maximized and the environmental impact of our business and customers is minimized.

From the very start of your career, we believe it’s vital that you feel part of the team. Your manager will give you a tour of the site and specific training for your role. Every employee has a minimum three-month probationary period, followed by an annual appraisal.

What graduate programmes do you offer?
Our professional, structured course prepares degree-qualified graduates, like you, for a career within the food industry in a junior management role.
The programme encompasses many aspects of our business, from finance and food safety to procurement and production and depending on your interests and career objectives, the scheme may range from two to five years.
Who do you look for?
We seek undergraduates and postgraduates from a variety of academic backgrounds and choose the candidates who show the most potential to benefit from the large investments we make into the programme. If you speak a second language, have experience of other cultures or have recently held a position of responsibility, then we’d especially love to hear from you.
