Tell us about your experience as a graduate with Diageo? – what kind of support is offered, what is the culture like, etc.

Diageo are an incredibly supportive employer and the business is full of very talented and hard-working employees. There is so much opportunity for personal and career growth. The culture is a real plus, you can be as independent or as coached-through a role as you need, and no one will ever micromanage or force you to work overtime!

Tell us about your current graduate role with Diageo? What’s the most exciting thing about it?

I’ve recently moved into the Wholesale Off-trade channel as an account manager. It gives you exposure to so many different aspects of the business: sales, supply, marketing, relationship management etc. I’m enjoying how challenging this role can be and there is so much to learn.

What skills/knowledge did you learn at university that you are now implementing in role?

Doing a placement year (commercial role) really allowed me to hit the ground running at Diageo and use the skills I learned there. I also studied business at University and it’s great to see how the things I learned about in an academic scenario, come to life in a real business

It always helps to do you research into the company, find out what new innovations Diageo have in the pipeline or any wider news on the business. This looks great in applications and interviews

Diageo like to hire on personality/business fit as much as they do talent, so relax and be yourself in the application process!
