Jörn Schütte - Process and Project Manager

Q.1 What does your job involve?

As a Process and Project Manager my job entails leading and taking part in process and change projects to increase productivity and efficiency around the value chain. I enjoy that no day is like another due to the broad range of activities and challenges my job warrants: solving complex problems, overcoming change resistance, conducting analysis, research and workshops are prime examples of my day-to-day work life.

Even though I specialise mostly in improvement, digitalisation and change management in administrational processes, some of my projects also take place on the shop floor.

Q.2 What is the most interesting project you’ve been involved with?

One of the most interesting and challenging projects I’ve worked on at Kingspan was the procedural integration of a sister company. Order processing and manufacturing processes had to be reworked, matched and linked, which proved to be quite complex and large-scale, requiring a lot of attention and thorough testing.

A close contender is definitely the YTS-project I’m currently working on with my graduate colleagues. It’s very exciting to be part of an international, cross functional team of like-minded graduates requiring each and everyone to bring their unique skill set, background and expertise to the table.

Q.3 What advice would you give to new Graduates joining our Company?

I’d advise new graduates to try and grasp Kingspan as a whole. Don’t limit yourself to the site you are currently located at. There’s a multitude of businesses and opportunities in different countries to be explored and colleagues to be met if you’re up for it.

At Kingspan it is actively promoted to try new roles and shape your own career. Be curious, open and seek out challenges.

Q.4 What excites you most about Kingspan?

I feel fortunate to work at a company so devoted in its pursuit of sustainability. As both an essential strategic pillar and integral part of our culture, the Planet Passionate initiative shapes the business, its products and actions.

Therefore, I’m excited to work at Kingspan and have a tangible positive impact on our precious but vulnerable pale blue dot.
