Why did you choose to apply to the For Purpose graduate programme?
The For Purpose programme allowed me to kickstart my career in Data analytics as well as continue my work within the non-profit sector.
I was very attracted to the three elements they provided. The mentoring and reflective practice was one that I'm benefiting from greatly.
I meet with my mentor once a month to develop my skillsets and just to have a reflection on my progress, which I find very beneficial.
The For Purpose team ensured that I was well looked after all throughout my application process and during my time here at Tuath.
Tell us about your experience so far? How did you find settling into Tuath Housing - what kind of support is offered, what is the culture like?
I have surpassed the two-month mark and things are going great! The culture within Tuath is amazing, everyone wants to help each other grow.
I work with multiple colleagues with affluence of information and knowledge. This has greatly helped me settle and learn many of the processes in such a short time frame.
What excites you most about working for Tuath Housing?
Every-day is a new learning experience within Tuath. There is never a day that is the same.
The opportunities and challenges that arise are very interesting and are always a new way to develop.
What skills/knowledge did you learn at university that you are now implementing in the role?
The role I'm currently in requires organizational skills, research/critical thinking and technical Literacy.
These skills I have been developing in college numerously and have directly applied them within the workplace.
I also have devised software programs during my studies, this has helped me get to grips with what is currently implemented and best practices.
GUI Design & Database Connectivity has helped me a lot to understand how we can also manipulate the data within Tuath housing's portal.
