Sia Partners

Why did you choose to apply to a graduate role at Sia Partners?

When I was in the process of applying for graduate consulting roles, I wanted to find a place that offered a supportive yet challenging learning environment, international opportunities, and the opportunity to gain exposure across multiple different industries.

I was drawn to Sia Partners in my search because of its unique offerings, innovative solutions, and Consulting for good.

Tell us about your experience so far as a graduate with Sia Partners? – what kind of support is offered, what is the culture like, etc.

My first year at Sia Partners consisted of training and development courses, getting involved in internal initiatives and working on projects. Since joining, I have found it to be a supportive learning environment.

I have a mentor that I can go to for any of my questions or support and everyone that I have worked with wanted to help me learn and support me at the beginning of my career.

Tell us about your current role with Sia Partners, What’s the most exciting thing about it?

Between my current client project and involvement in internal initiatives, the thing that I am most excited about is the opportunity to work across multiple different industries and gain experience in other service offerings.

I have the chance to work with people across the Sia Partners international network and hear about their experiences. These opportunities are important to me because I am just starting out in my career, and exposure will help me narrow down the areas that I am passionate about.

What skills/knowledge did you learn at university that you are now implementing in role?

Many of the skills I developed in university are used in my current role. I am constantly building on my communication, organisation, time management and analytical skills through my project and internal work. I have to adapt these to suit the different tasks that I have to complete for different stakeholders.

Collaboration is another key skill that I developed in university that I use daily, being able to work effectively with other project members on a project team and throughout the course of internal initiatives is so important for success and my development.
