Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is a third level institute with five campuses in the West of Ireland.

ATU Galway campus is based on the Dublin Road in Galway city, and comprises of four main Schools of study:

ATU Galway campus is also home to:

ATU’s second Galway city campus is ATU Galway School of Design and Creative Arts on the Monivea road in Galway city. This campus offers courses in film & documentary, contemporary art, design, fine art, and textiles.

ATU Mayo Campus in Castlebar has a population of approximately 1,000 students and offers courses in Business, Engineering, Humanities, Nursing, Health Sciences and Social Care and Technology.

ATU Mountbellew is located approximately 40 minutes’ drive from Galway city and offers a range of Agri-Business, Agri-Science and Agri-Engineering courses.

ATU Letterfrack campus in Connemara, Co. Galway is the National Centre of Excellence for Furniture Design and Wood Technology. Courses include Furniture design and manufacture, Furniture and wood technology, Teacher education (construction studies and DCG)

Postgraduate study

ATU is strongly focused on providing graduates with an opportunity to develop their potential through the provision of taught postgraduate programmes and research opportunities at Masters and PhD level.

Research Postgraduate

A research degree at ATU will provide you with comprehensive training in a specific discipline area.

Our programmes combine research method training, coursework and in some cases industry experience under the guidance of an expert academic supervisor.

Research Postgraduate opportunities at ATU are offered at Level 9 (Masters) and Level 10 (PhD).
