You and your sociology degree
A sociology degree will provide you with a range of skills suitable for a variety of highly interesting sectors. Most sociology graduates will pursue careers in the social and welfare sectors, but a variety of jobs in both public and private sectors are available.
What can I do with a business degree?
If you are graduating with a degree in a business area, you will find a range of careers that are directly related to your qualification. While many of these careers are open to graduates in any subject, some employers will have a preference for graduates with a business background. Your degree will provide useful knowledge, useful skills, and possibly some exemptions from papers in professional examinations.
What can I do with an engineering degree?
If you are graduating with a degree in engineering, it's likely that you will be looking at going into a particular career that uses your specialist knowledge, although this depends very much on your specific discipline. If you do not want to pursue a career in engineering, your degree will have helped you develop a range of transferable skills that you can bring to jobs unrelated to your subject.
What can I do with a science degree?
If have a science degree, you might want a career that puts into practice your specialist knowledge. However, your degree subject does not necessarily limit your options. Many graduate vacancies do not ask for specific degree subjects. And if you do not want to pursue a science career, your degree will have helped you develop a range of transferable skills that you can apply to many different jobs.
