I had the opportunity to work in Carne as an intern and last year, I returned as a graduate and have never looked back! As a Business Studies graduate, I wanted a role that gave me experience in the financial services industry and allow me to build a career in a fast-paced environment.

The company has a great system in place for graduates to find their feet, make connections and thrive in a supportive learning environment. Carne’s open and inviting culture means you can reach out to anyone and ask for advice; even senior management is easily accessible and willing to hop on a call for chat.

There is so much you can do in Carne outside of your main role. For example, there’s a buddy system in Carne, through which new joiner’s are matched to other Carne employees who mentor them throughout their time in Carne. I’ve helped organise intern & graduate team building events – known as “Bright Minds Days”.

With Carne’s educational sponsorship, there’s many possibilities for further learning. Following the completion of my undergraduate degree, I chose to continue my education and pursue my accountancy exams. Carne’s sponsorship means that I can undertake my ACCA exams, while working within the Financial Reporting team.
