Begin by listing your most recent job position and list any relevant job experience you might have. Then list your most recent qualification. Include college degrees and certificates. If you wish you can include your Leaving Cert (or A Level) results but do not include your Junior Cert (GCSE) grades.

Mistakes such as spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are very common but also easy to avoid. Use a spell checker when writing your CV, read through it and have someone proofread it before you submit it.

If you have applied for a job but haven’t heard anything back. You can follow up politely after two weeks. If the job opening has a specific deadline for applications, there is likely no point in following up before that deadline.
