Application dates

Before you apply:
- Read about the steps you have to take to do a Research Postgraduate programme at MIC.

- For English language requirements go to https://www.mic.ul.ie/international/study-in-ireland/essential-information/english-language-requirements

- If you have met all the criteria, click on the 'How to Apply' tab to pay your application fee and download and complete the application form which needs to be submitted separately.

- There are also a number of Structured PhD programmes available at MIC.

EU Applicants
After you have read How to Apply for a Research Postgraduate programme at MIC,

- Download and complete the application form here or
For applications in Irish, download and complete the application form.

- The application form must also include any supporting documentation requested.

- In the case of non-native English speakers, a copy of IELTS (or equivalent) is required. (English language requirements)

- Please pay the non-refundable €50 application fee using Stripe here, and return the completed application form by email: to rgso@mic.ul.ie.

Non-EU Applicants
For advice on visas and the practicalities of living in Ireland, please contact the International office at international@mic.ul.ie.

- Entry requirements and the application process may vary according to country of origin. For information that is specific to your home country, go to the relevant website.

EU/Non-EU Status Assessments
The designation of a student as being from the EU or a Non-EU country determines the fees they will pay at Mary Immaculate College (MIC) i.e. there may be cases where a non-EU national acquires EEA citizenship during the course of their third level studies and would qualify for EU fees, for example.

See website on EU/Non-EU assessments which will be conducted by MIC International office to determine status.

MA: 2 years full-time. PhD: 4 years full-time.
