Classical Studies

No prior knowledge in the subjects that make up the Classics is required. Entrants have the option to take the programme full time or part time, and up to 50% of the modules remotely. Modules range from courses on Greek and Roman civilization, literature, and history of Rome from its origins to the Late Empire, to Women in Greece and Rome and The Classical World in Modern Media. The study of Latin or Ancient Greek is also a viable option.

Entrants have the option to take up to 50% of modules online by studying remotely: individual portfolio to be agreed with the Module Coordinator.

Post Course Info

This new programme helps graduates with no prior knowledge of Classics to earn a Postgraduate qualification (Level 8) in this subject.

Entrants may choose to Learn Latin or Ancient Greek. Applicants who wish to use this programme to enhance their range of teaching subjects at second level are advised to contact the Teaching Council before applying to ensure recognition.
