Clinical Supervision - Supporting CPD - Micro-credential

This micro-credential will support students to enhance knowledge and skills of clinical supervision practice. It provides foundational knowledge and skills to enable students in the supervisory role to develop, facilitate and engage in supervisory relationships within identified clinical supervision models to enhance the quality of patient/client care. The micro-credential is delivered using blended learning including (2 days workshops) that will focus on peer group clinical supervision and is delivered over 12 weeks.



This micro-credential is multidisciplinary and welcomes applications from healthcare professionals from the wider multidisciplinary team (including medical doctors, MHN’s, RGN’S, practice nurses, public health nurses, RNID’s, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists) in acute, care of the older person, rehabilitation, continued care and community services.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be over 21 years of age. Students must have a letter from the Director of Nursing stating that they will be supported during the module, as students will receive CS and will be required to deliver peer group CS and one-one CS in the practice area.
