IOB is delighted to be working with the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers (IACT) as its education partner to develop this exciting new programme - the Professional Diploma in Corporate Treasury. This NFQ level 9 programme is accredited by UCD and will equip finance professionals with the strategic and technical expertise required to excel in modern treasury functions, encouraging the study and best practice of treasury management in Ireland.



Who is the programme for?





Finance professionals - aiming to specialise in treasury functions, especially those seeking managerial or strategic roles in corporate finance.



Mid-career finance professionals - those already working in finance, accounting, or banking who want to pivot into treasury or deepen their expertise in liquidity, risk, and cash management.



Professionals in multinational corporations or financial institutions - especially those managing cross-border cash flows, foreign exchange risk, or working capital optimisation.



Award

When you successfully complete this programme you will be awarded a Professional Diploma in Treasury from UCD.



This is a special purpose award and a level 9 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications.



The Top 3 students of the programme will be recognised with an award from the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Subjects taught

Module 1 - Corporate Treasury Operations, Policy and Liquidity: Online delivery.



Module 2 - Applied Treasury Risk Management and Capital Structure Strategy: Hybrid delivery - online lectures with two live in-person lectures on Saturdays. (The in-person lectures will also be recorded).

Entry requirements

The entry requirements to the Professional Diploma in Corporate Treasury are as follows:



An Honours degree (second class grade 2 award or higher) in business or cognate discipline (e.g. economics, accounting, information technology) or professional qualification in business or cognate discipline (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA)

or

Admission may also be considered for experienced professionals who do not meet the admission requirements as set out above, where they can demonstrate knowledge through their work (i.e., they have more than 5 years’ experience in a management role (to be considered on a case-by-case basis).



Professional Body Membership

You must be a current member, or become a member of IOB or IACT, to undertake this programme.

IOB Membership

The membership year is from January to December.
