Creative Commercial Communications - Conversion Course - Aungier Street

What is... Creative Commercial Communications?
It provides career focused continuous professional development for creative commercial communications professionals or those aspiring to work in the creative commercial communications industry.

In addition to academic and research focus, you will have demonstrable capacity in the implementation and evaluation of effective, technology-driven, creative commercial communications. Each CPD programme aims to provide you with strategic, analytical and creative skills informed by industry engagement.

Participants who complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Commercial Communications may decide to continue their learning journey by undertaking the Postgraduate Certificate in Planning & Leadership in Creative Commercial Communications. Those who complete both Postgraduate Certificates will ultimately earn a PG Diploma in Creative Commercial Communications and become eligible for the MSc Creative Commercial Communications (Top-Up).

Subjects taught

The Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Commercial Communications comprises three CPD modules, totaling 30 ECTS credits. The underlying philosophy of each CPD is to provide a diverse and challenging range of learning experiences in which you can explore an appropriate body of knowledge. Delivery methods involve lectures from a unique mix of both TU Dublin academic staff and key industry practitioners. The modules are delivered as 3-day bootcamps.

CPD in Contemporary Marketing and Communications
This advanced module provides the learner with an opportunity to develop a critical understanding of the conceptual and practical elements which underpin the field of marketing and communications. Marketers need to develop clearly positioned brands that will deliver customer engagement and demonstrate the financial value that marketing can add to an organisation. With this understanding of contemporary marketing and communications, the creative commercial communications sector is much better placed to provide meaningful and relevant media and communication solutions for brand owners.

CPD in Digital Platforms and Communications
This is a transformational period in the short history of the creative commercial communication industry. Whilst many communication principles remain the same, technology and platforms are changing the way we communicate with people. Two way conversations, precision targeting and fresh technologies are allowing for deeper and richer storytelling. Consumers now have greater control over how, where and what content they choose to consume, which is raising the bar for advertisers demanding more innovation and creativity than before.

CPD in Creative Thinking
The Creative Thinking CPD course is designed to explore the diverse facets of creativity and creative work. Drawing on the psychological theories of creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration, the module explores the characteristics, traits, skills and competencies associated with creativity.
