Cyberpsychology - Letterkenny

This programme offers a deep understanding of the intersection between psychology and technology. It builds on the knowledge and skills gained from undergraduate degrees and provides students with the opportunity to develop their expertise further in this growing field. Students will learn how digital technologies impact human behaviour and interactions online, and how they can be used to enhance well-being, communication, and learning.



Who should apply?

This programme will be of particular interest to students who wish to develop psychological insights into human interactions with digital technologies, and to learn to apply this knowledge in a wide variety of sectors that deal with the human computer interface point. They will become part of increasingly multi skilled teams that design deliver and regulate all manner of software and hardware solutions for humans. We will equip our graduates to be able to work effectively in contemporary workflow settings.

Entry requirements

An Honours Degree with first or second-class honours or an equivalent qualification. Applicants should have exposure to computing, design, social sciences or psychology.



Recognition of Prior Learning: Yes.

Application dates

Flexible learning courses are popular, and they fill on a first come, first served basis. There are two major intake periods throughout the academic year, September and January.



For January start courses, applications typically open in October, and for September start courses, applications typically open in February. Closing dates for applications are listed on the individual course webpage.

Duration

1 year full-time, 2 years part-time, on-campus delivery.



Study Hours

Students can expect 8 hours of lectures per week, and should allow for 15-20 hours of independent study per week.



On-Campus Attendance: Full time attendance is required.
