Global Sustainable Supply Chain Management - National Maritime College of Ireland

The goal of the programme is to equip industry professionals/adult learners with the skills needed to lead organisations, from indigenous to large multinational companies, towards sustainable competitiveness through the creative and effective management of end-to-end supply networks.

This Master's Diploma programme is a result of extensive consultation with sectoral stakeholders. This proposed embedded Post Graduate Diploma (60 Credits) programme has successfully secured funding under the Human Capital Investment (HCI) scheme. The programme is designed to develop the learners’ know-how and skills range, to allow them to demonstrate a mastery of a range of complex and specialised focused areas across the full spectrum of global sustainable supply chain management.

The learner will develop the capacity to apply a standardised technique of enquiry to a wide range of activities and operational contexts, internally in their organisations/corporations, and externally with the upstream supply base/outsourced partners, and the downstream customer base/original manufacturer base/logistics 3PL/4PL provider base. The learner will also develop the skill to synthesise the ethical, business and social aspects of communicating internationally across the entire supply chain spectrum, while cognisant of global ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) standards.

Collectively, the programme equips the learner with a range of skills and develops their higher-order thinking.

This Masters programme (90 Credits) includes a one-year Post Graduate Diploma programme plus a half-year research dissertation (one-to-one supervision); it is a production, distribution and service-focused Level 9 programme. An integral element of the programme is its flexible online delivery, supplemented with workshops and guest lectures at the NMCI campus.

The programme is focused on senior management continuing professional development (CPD), and is designed to equip industry professionals with the skills needed to lead organisations towards sustainable competitiveness through creative and resilient management of end-to-end supply networks.

The programme is delivered over three semesters with the Year two, third semester dedicated to a dissertation.

Programmes which are accredited by professional bodies or any external awarding bodies may have their own procedures for RPL which you should refer to.
