Designed for students from all undergraduate disciplines, this programme has been fully accredited by the CIPD, the HR Certification Institute, and is fully aligned with the Society for Human Resource Management. You will gain the specialist knowledge and practical skills that are vital for future Human Resources Management professionals who strive to facilitate organisational effectiveness.

The programme is research-led, evidence-based, and practice-driven. Senior practitioners from the industry teach on the programme to offer you a strong integration of research and practice. Going beyond the classroom you will learn real organisational Human Resource Management in practice by interacting with a variety of organisations as part of the programme.

Graduates will gain the specialist knowledge and practical skills that are vital for future Human Resources Management professionals who strive to facilitate organisational effectiveness. We aim to produce graduates who will become future change-makers and who seek to shape and transform business for good.

Course Structure
This M.Sc. course is worth 90 credits and is delivered over one academic year. The taught component comprises modules totalling 60 credits. Students also complete a substantial research project, which accounts for a further 30 credits, to be eligible for consideration for the award of the degree.

Course Content
This one-year full-time course offers 12 core modules designed to build your knowledge and understanding of human resource management, and a dissertation. Modules may include:

Core: Developing Skills for Business Leadership and Coaching; Employment Law and Business Ethics; HR Digitalisation & Analytics; International HRM; Learning and Organisation Development; Managing Employment Relations; Performance & Rewards Management; Researching HRM; Resourcing and Talent Management; Strategic Human Resource Management; Work Design and Health.

The dissertation allows students to showcase the knowledge they have gained and enhance their career potential by specialising in a particular area.

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to posses a minimum 2.1 Honours degree or international equivalent. They should also have two academic referees (applicants with work experience can instead provide one academic and one professional referee).

Applicants whose first language is not English and were not educated in the language will also need to complete an English competency exam (in line with Trinity's postgraduate English language requirements).
