Integrative Psychotherapy - Cork

This Postgraduate diploma runs on a 2-year cycle. The next round of applications will be in 2026. Applications will open in February 2026, and interviews will be held in June 2026. The course will begin in September 2026. This programme is suitable for individuals who have completed the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy or its equivalent and wish to further enhance and deepen their therapeutic skills with a particular focus on Integrative Psychotherapy. It is also suitable for individuals who have completed their primary training in Counselling & Psychotherapy but have not continued to practice.



This programme would provide the ideal structure and environment to re-engage with learning and upskilling in order to develop a counselling/psychotherapy practice and become accredited practitioners. The focus of this Post Graduate Diploma is trauma and attachment informed relational psychotherapy and incorporates relational psychodynamic models, humanistic perspectives, expressive and creative therapies. It is designed to be career friendly with a blended approach to learning so students can work flexibly and combine this training with their everyday professional practice.



This programme consists of taught theory, practice and experiential group over one-year. The focus is trauma and attachment informed relational psychotherapy and incorporates relational psychodynamic models, humanistic perspectives, expressive and creative therapies. Entry requirements

Applicants must:



Have successfully completed the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Counselling or Psychotherapy (minimum H2.2) or an equivalent* professional training in Counselling and Psychotherapy that satisfies the training requirements for professional accreditation.



Be assessed through interview.



Submit a completed outline of Educational & Work Experience Form.



Submit two written references.

Career options

The aim of the course is to assist those who wish to further enhance and deepen their therapeutic skills with a particular focus on Integrative Psychotherapy. Progression

Following successful completion of Year 1 students have the option to progress to Year 2 of the MA Integrative Psychotherapy.
