Introduction to Genomics Data Science - Micro-credential
This micro-credential is designed to introduce students to data science tools used in the analysis of genomic data. Students will first be introduced to different sequencing technologies, assays, and associated outputs. The R statistical programming environment (including Bioconductor libraries) will then be used to perform basic analysis of sequence data. Students will also gain experience in the use of the linux command-line environment and HPC/cloud infrastructure allowing them to perform large scale genomic analyses. Throughout the module, emphasis will be placed on reproducible research using a combination of software environment management and code versioning tools, including: docker, conda, and git/github.
Applicants must be over 21 years of age.
