Careers and Opportunities

Upon successful completion of the programme students will be more employable, particularly within the industry. Graduates of an MSc in Manufacturing Management are well-equipped for a wide range of careers across manufacturing, engineering, and operations sectors. They often pursue roles such as production manager, operations manager, supply chain analyst, process improvement specialist, or quality assurance manager. With their advanced understanding of lean manufacturing, digital technologies, and strategic decision-making, they are also suited for roles in project management, consultancy, and industrial automation. Many graduates go on to work in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and food processing, or progress into leadership and innovation roles within global manufacturing organisations. Another important opportunity for MSc students is the academic career and/or research career through a PhD programme such as those offered in the Engineering Research Institute (ERI) which hosts the MSc programme.
