This unique Post Graduate Diploma course is delivered by the Griffith Innopharma Faculty of Science and is a blend of medical device technology and business.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Device Technology & Business is a blended learning programme, delivered through evening class room learning supported by live online broadcasts and weekend group work.

The course will focus on core competencies such as medical device classification, device design cycle, manufacturing, quality systems & regulations, biocompatibility, operational excellence, lean sigma, emerging trends in medical devices, medical device measurement and analysis, strategic thinking and professional development.

Course Outline
A three-semester taught course in Medical Device Technology & Business (60 ETCS Credits) leading cumulatively to a Postgraduate Diploma in Science in Medical Device Technology & Business.

Module 2: Medical Device Quality Systems & Regulation
Module 3: Emerging trends in Medical Devices
Module 4: Strategy, Leadership & the Culture of Innovation
Module 5: Operational Excellence & the Science of Innovation
Module 6: Medical Measurement and Analysis

Entry requirements

The primary target audience are those with a minimum qualification of higher degree (minimum 2.2 or higher) at NFQ Level 8 or higher in Science, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Medicine or related discipline.

English Language requirements;
In response to the worldwide closure of English Language Test Centres arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, Griffith College is now accepting the online Duolingo English Test (DET) as valid proof of English proficiency. This is a temporary measure for our intakes up to and including February 2022.
