Palliative Care

This is a multi-disciplinary programme which develops and enhances the knowledge, skills, and competencies of health and social care professionals who come into contact with patients who have palliative and end-of-life care needs.

You will develop the knowledge, skills, and competence to provide compassionate and person-centred care, and will be provided with the capacity to take responsibility for advancing professional development to address constantly changing palliative care demands.

Your core study programme will include the principles of palliative and end-of-life care, advanced symptom management, and advanced methods in research and development in health and social care. You can then choose to specialise in areas such as person-centred practice, leadership in professional practice, and professional decision-making and accountability.
