Public Health - Data Systems & Research

Our Postgraduate Certificates in Public Health are tailored to accommodate learners at various stages of their professional development whether you're new to the discipline or seeking to enhance your existing knowledge.



Each Certificate carries 60 CATS points and serves as an introductory pathway into further postgraduate study. Upon successful completion, you may choose to progress to our Postgraduate Diploma and/or Master of Public Health (MPH) programme.



The Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health: Data, Systems, and Research is designed for learners who may have some prior knowledge or experience related to public health but wish to formalise or broaden their understanding by selecting modules that address gaps in their current knowledge / experience.

Entry requirements

Graduate

A 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in a health-related subject is required. Evidence of equivalent professional qualifications (MBBS, BDS BSc or BVSc) or experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Applicants are advised to apply as early as possible and ideally not later than 31st July 2026. In the event that any programme receives a high number of applications, the University reserves the right to close the application portal prior to the deadline stated on course finder. Notifications to this effect will appear on the application portal against the programme application page.
