Social Justice Studies
Social Justice concerns the fair and equal treatment of all individuals and social groups within a society. Social Justice Studies draw on a range of academic disciplines to advance understanding of issues including inequality, oppression, privilege, discrimination, and human rights abuses, as experienced by groups defined by their ‘race’, gender, class, sexuality, ability, and global position. It will appeal to those seeking to acquire the knowledge and skills to understand and challenge injustice and to help bring about positive social change.
You will have the opportunity to choose between the two majors:
SJC2 Equality Studies or
SJC3 Gender and Sexualities Studies
