Sustainable Engineering Management
The MSc in Sustainable Engineering Management equips Managers, technical professionals and Engineers with the advanced analytical and practical skills required to design, evaluate and implement sustainability-led interventions within complex industrial and infrastructure systems.
By combining advanced engineering management analysis with systems integration, data-driven decision-making, and technical leadership, graduates are prepared to solve real-world business-specific challenges, improve process performance, reduce environmental impact and deliver resilient, low-carbon and economically viable engineering solutions that support long-term sustainability objectives.

Entry requirements
The minimum entry requirement for this NFQ Level 9 programme, is a cognate honours degree in engineering, management and/or related scientific and technical backgrounds (e.g. environmental science, manufacturing, pharmaceutical science, process control, quality assurance, management, etc.)
Standard applicants will have mathematical problem-solving skills. Graduates from disciplines that do not include specific consideration of statistics in their programmes will be required to complete an online learning unit, evidencing their learning in advance of programme commencement.
All learners are required to be proficient in English. Where a candidate’s first language is not English, they are required to provide proof of profciency in the English language through satisfactory performance on an internationally recognised test.
The English language entry requirements for the programmes are CEF B2+ or equivalent. Candidates with English language levels below CEF B2+ must first reach this minimum standard before enrolling on their academic programme.

Academic Progression
Learners on the MSc programme who pass all elements of the Postgraduate Diploma and who choose not to complete the MSc Dissertation stage can exit the programme with a Postgraduate Diploma Award.
