A blend of ingredients

The programme covers several modules, so you’ll get a full understanding of our entire business. By combining personal and professional development through a blended learning approach, you’ll gain hard technical and business skills while also building a strong understanding of soft skills like teamwork, leadership, diplomacy and people management. Playing an active role in communities throughout Ireland is of vital importance to us and our programme will give you plenty of opportunity to get involved with CSR initiatives supporting great causes.

Fresh talent and well-seasoned professionals

We know that as a graduate joining the business you won’t have all the answers and that’s OK with us. Throughout your training you will be supported by professionals at every level of the business including one-on-one mentorship with a Director. You will be assisted with solid hands-on experience and formal mentorship sessions on key topics relevant to your new role. As well as helping you learn about our business, our best people will help you expand and develop your problem solving and business management skills.

Area Manager Roles

If you already have a 2.1 or 2 years’ retail experience, you can go straight into Area Management. You’ll be thrust straight into the limelight, with responsibility for driving sales in a given number of stores by ensuring
exceptional store standards, full availability, product quality, freshness and customer service. Our business is constantly growing and so is our team. The Area Manager role with Lidl is advertised throughout the year around Ireland.
