Grow With Us

Musgrave is the launchpad for all sorts of exciting careers. If you have a love for good food, a passion for a business, or a desire to help us build sustainable communities, you’ll fit right in.

Our market-leading brands include SuperValu, Centra, MarketPlace, Daybreak and Frank and Honest . We feed 1 in 3 people in Ireland — that makes us the Republic’s leading food business. However, like our network of entrepreneurial food partners and the budding start-ups we support, we never stand still, and neither do our people.

Our business model is all about partnering for success. As a family-owned business, we work with thousands of other family businesses and their local communities in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Spain. Through our support of local initiatives, we aim to enrich everyday lives, make communities vibrant, and provide shoppers with an offer that is different and better.

What makes us different is a team of extraordinary retailers, great grocery brands that are online and around the corner and colleagues who invest in our business because we invest in them. Our foodservice and wholesale brands meet the needs of independent retailers, hoteliers and restaurant owners. We are about growing good business through fresh food leadership, range innovation and embracing technology to make life simpler for our retail partners and their customers.

At the same time, we aim to grow through applying our existing skill sets to new areas. This might mean extending our existing brands into complementary products and services such as our gourmet coffee brand, Frank and Honest, and Chipmongers, which is making the humble chip the hero! It is also about diversifying our business to extend our reach through new ventures. Right now, we are actively looking to forge new partnerships with businesses that share our values and our commitment to profit with principle.

One such partnership is our new alliance with Alibaba Group. We’re the first Irish retailer with a presence on the Tmall Global platform, opening a potential new route to market for Irish food producers seeking to access discerning Chinese consumers who are seeking out high quality brands from trusted sources overseas. The partnerships play to the strengths of our heritage and the provenance of our products, and builds on our reputation of authenticity and quality.

Every aspect of our business is informed by our values which are focussed on long-term stable relationships, not being greedy, honesty, working hard and achievement.

We are proud of our talented people and our graduates are no exception. We know our success is aligned to the support we offer our people. We don’t expect you to know everything straight away, but we do expect you to meet your performance objectives and realise your full potential while living the Musgrave values in your everyday work.

Our grads get to work straight away on a huge number of challenges and opportunities. Whether it’s designing a new product launch or building our digital presence, sorting the supply chain or transforming our retail environments, you’ll be both stretched and challenged. But you’re backed up the whole way by a dedicated team responsible for your development.

Your ideas will be taken seriously – and could lead to innovation and positive impact, in the real world.

Our award winning Graduate Development Programme is delivered in conjunction with the Irish Management Institute (IMI). This is delivered over two years and features core business modules as well as executive coaching and guest speakers from the business.

Depending on the graduate stream, you may work in at least two of our divisional headquarters over the course of the programme.

We are committed to on-going talent development at every level and we are proud to have a strong track record of developing our graduates to senior positions within the business.

And given only a select group join us each year, you won’t be just another face in the crowd. In fact, you’ll have direct access to senior leaders and even get to present to our CEO. What are you waiting for?

What next?

We expect academic excellence and an instinct for business. Our opportunities vary depending on our business needs. A minimum of a 2.1 honours degree will bring you through to our application process which includes online assessments, video interview and assessment centres.
