EMG Energy Consultants is one of Ireland’s fastest-growing energy consultancies, specialising in energy assessments, design solutions, and compliance across both domestic and commercial new builds and retrofit projects. Based in Ennis, we operate across Munster, South Connacht, and nationwide.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee / Graduate BER Assessor to join our growing team. This role offers a structured development pathway towards full BER Assessor certification, with hands-on experience across residential energy assessments and compliance.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of energy-efficient solutions by carrying out surveys, preparing energy reports, and assisting in the design of upgrade strategies for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct domestic energy surveys and site assessments
- Prepare Home Energy Assessments and energy audit reports
- Carry out take-offs from drawings and site data
- Assist in developing energy upgrade recommendations and solutions
- Support BER certification and Part L compliance processes
- Work closely with senior consultants as part of a structured training programme
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum Level 6 qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Science (energy/sustainability preferred)
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office; CAD/Revit/SketchUp beneficial)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
