Business Development Internship at UHY International

The Director of Business
Development is based in Dublin/Dundalk and - together with UHY Farrelly Dawe White, our
member firm in Ireland - seeks candidates in the North Co. Dublin and Co. Louth
area for a Business Development student internship during the summer of 2026.
1. Project scope
The internship will support the
Business Development function of UHY International, working directly with the
Director of Business Development. The objective is to strengthen capacity
across two areas: 1) expansion of the UHY International network and recruitment
of new member firms; and 2) international business development with clients and
prospects. The intern will focus on research and analytical activities plus
content development to support UHY’s business development and strategic
decision making.
2. Key responsibilities
· Market and firm research including profiling potential
member firms across global markets.
· Data analysis and processing in MS Excel.
· Prospect client and opportunity research.
· Lead, referral and pipeline management including
tracking and analysis.
· Support for process coordination for new member firm
applications.
· Assistance with content creation such as competitor
analysis, templates and insights.
· Assistance with content creation for presentations,
proposals and BD/Marketing
· Ad hoc business development support as required.
3. Duration and timing
The internship is expected to
run for 8 to 12 weeks between early June and late August 2026. Exact dates may
be adjusted.
4. Time commitment
Preferred as a full-time role. Part-time
options may be considered.
5. Location
The intern will be based primarily in the Dundalk office of UHY Farrelly Dawe White, with the option to work on a hybrid basis. A minimum of three days per week in the office is expected to support collaboration, learning, and supervision.
Candidates should be based within reasonable commuting distance of the Dundalk office, ideally in Co. Louth, North Co. Dublin or Co. Meath.
6. Supervision and reporting
The intern will report to the
Director of Business Development of UHY International, based in Dublin. Local
support will be provided in Dundalk/Balbriggan offices. In-person supervision and
guidance by line manager will be provided weekly.
7. Deliverables
Expected outputs include candidate
firm lists, research reports, lead and referral analysis, updated datasets, general
BD content including proposals/presentations, and an end of placement presentation
/ summary.
8. Compensation
This will be a paid internship of
€400 per week.
9. Candidate profile
Students studying marketing,
business, economics or related fields with strong research, data
analysis/processing and written communication skills.
A good working
proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is expected, including working with
data, basic calculations, and presenting insights clearly. A business
development and international mindset is desirable.
