Digital Marketing Internship

Company description 

My English Sister is an English language learning and childcare agency based in Lyon. Our mission is to support the English language development of French children through fun, personalized and creative lessons and activities.

We are looking for a creative and proactive Digital Marketing Assistant for a 4-6 month internship. This position is ideal for students or recent graduates seeking real-world experience in digital content creation, marketing strategy, and brand storytelling within a dynamic, education-focused company.

You will help shape our online presence by creating engaging content and improving our digital visibility.

Role Overview 

The role combines marketing responsibilities with hands-on work teaching and interacting with children:

50% Digital Marketing & Content Creation
50% Teaching English and working with children

This internship is designed to build both your marketing skillset and your practical teaching experience.

Key task & responsibilities

1. Create Digital Content

• Produce engaging visual and written content for social media, newsletters and the website

• Contribute to the brand’s creative identity through storytelling and strong visual communication

2. Video & Photo Editing

• Capture and edit photos and videos showcasing life at My English Sister

• Produce short-form content for Instagram, TikTok and promotional campaigns

3. Design Marketing Materials

• Create posters, flyers, visuals, brochures and digital assets

• Support the design of teaching-related materials when needed

4. Populate Blog for SEO

• Write and optimize blog articles to improve organic search rankings

• Conduct basic keyword research to propose relevant blog topics

• Use SEO best practices to strengthen website visibility

• Ensure content is structured and written clearly so it can be easily picked up and referenced by Ai search engines.

5. Optimize the Website

• Update pages, visuals and internal links

• Ensure accuracy and consistency across all website content

• Support UX improvements and propose optimization ideas

6. Teaching & Childcare Responsibilities

• English teaching sessions (14 hours/week)

• Marketing and business related tasks (16 hours/week)

Candidate requirements

• Native English speaker (or C2)

• French level minimum B1

• At least 6 months experience working with children

• Strong interest in digital marketing, creativity, social media or design

• Proactive, organized, autonomous and resourceful

• Interest in childhood education and bilingualism
