An independent, dynamic and
professional language school, founded in 1978 and based in Empoli, Tuscany, is
seeking an EFL teacher to join its team from 1 October 2026.
Located just 25 minutes from
Florence, Empoli offers the opportunity to enjoy Tuscan life in a welcoming and
more affordable town while remaining close to one of Italy’s most famous
cities.
This role is particularly
suitable for recent graduates and early-career teachers who already hold
an initial teaching qualification, such as CELTA, TEFL or equivalent,
and who are keen to gain valuable teaching experience in Italy within a
supportive and professional school environment.
We are looking for candidates who
are enthusiastic, reliable and motivated to develop their teaching skills with children,
teenagers and adults.
This is a full-time role
involving approximately 25 contact teaching hours per week, with the
possibility of working up to 30 hours. There is also the possibility of
starting earlier, from April or May 2026, on a part-time basis.
We offer:
- a professional, positive and supportive
working environment - well-equipped classrooms and a wide range
of teaching materials - initial induction and ongoing training
- support with accommodation, if needed
Salary and contract options
We offer a Level 5 national teaching contract under Italian employment
regulations.
Two contract options are available:
- a full-time seasonal contract from
October to June - or an annual hours-based contract of
approximately 900 hours per year
There is also the possibility
for the position to become permanent.
The monthly net salary varies
depending on the contract option chosen. As an indication, the seasonal
contract offers a basic salary of approximately €1,100 /1,200 net per month,
in addition to social security contributions, paid holiday, end-of-service
benefits (TFR), and taxes paid.
The school closes for:
- the whole month of August
- approximately 15 days at Christmas
- one week at Easter
