About the role:

The Facilities Engineering Department is
responsible for a broad variety of engineering systems, plant and building
services, which are essential to cleanroom manufacturing environment and office
space. Ideally Electrical engineering applicants should have experience in
HV/LV supply and distribution networks, have experience in implementing and
managing, reliable maintenance schedules for both HV and LV systems and
preferably be competent in implementation and project management of capital
projects, however applications from new
college graduates will be considered.

Your
responsibilities will include:

 

·        
Outline and assist in the
design and development of LV and HV networks, to support capacity needs and
risks.

·        
Review and develop plans for
site electrical capacity for future needs and identify risks to current supply
continuity.

·        
Responsible for the development and implementation of relevant
asset maintenance procedures applicable to the HV and LV networks, to ensure
reliability and prolong asset lifespan.

  • Responsible for the
    development and implementation of a safe system of work on the HV network
    within the site.

·        
Ensure SOP conformance with
electrical legislative requirements and site EHS procedures for electrical
works.

·        
Scope out and plan HV and LV
electrical shutdowns for Site and Plant maintenance.

·        
Co-ordinating with other
departments and contractors on shutdown and project work.

·        
Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and
opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them.

·        
Management of documentation
and drawing accuracy associated with electrical plant and systems.

·        
Assist in the review and
check of electrical designs, drawings and specification data provided by other
systems engineers.

·        
Management of contractor
permitting and EHS compliance.

 

About you: 


This role does not meet the criteria set by
the Home Office for sponsorship on a Skilled Worker Visa as such sponsorship of
this visa cannot be offered.

·        
Hons Degree in Electrical Engineering or
Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

·        
Team player, comfortable working and
liaising with people internally and external to Seagate.

·        
Have
a clear understanding of EHS requirements and instill safe systems of work.

·        
The ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to provide
technical assurance in the development and delivery of large projects.

·        
Adaptable to changing situations and priorities.

·        
Be comfortable presenting justifications to Seagate Senior and
Executive management.

 

Bonus Skills & Experience: While not essential, the following
would be advantageous and may be used for shortlisting:

·        
Qualified as a Senior
Authorized Person (SAP) or Authorising Engineer (AE) for HV switching.

·        
Experience in contractor
coordination or project management.

·        
Time Served Electrician with
experience in High Voltage networks and maintenance.

·        
Experience in support of
high-volume manufacturing facility.

·        
Experience in HV/LV
Switchgear.

·        
Experience with Electrical
Control Panels and Variable Speed Drives.

·        
Knowledge of Building
Management or Automation Systems.

·        
Experience with Energy
Metering Systems.
