The Office of Public Works (OPW) manages the Government’s estate portfolio, maintains and preserves Ireland’s built heritage and manages Ireland’s flood risk.

The Fire & Security Section within OPW’s Estate Management Division operates as “In–House” consultancy for both Fire Safety and Security. This includes advising on Fire Safety Certificates and the preparation of Fire Safety Strategies for buildings housing Government bodies.

Reporting to an Engineer Grade II, the Engineer Grade III (Fire & Security) will carry out Fire Safety Assessments of existing buildings within the OPW Property Portfolio and will also carry out site inspections during construction works to ensure compliance with Part B of the Building Regulations and Building Control (Amendment) Regulations process.
