Engineering Graduate

Role:

A Graduate
Engineer in residential construction supports the engineering and site teams in
the planning, coordination, and delivery of housing projects. The role focuses
on gaining practical site experience while assisting in the technical and
administrative aspects of house building developments.

Key
Responsibilities

• Assist in the setting out and
  surveying of residential housing sites
• Support site engineers and project
  managers in daily construction activities
•  Review and interpret drawings,
  specifications, and construction plans
• Carry out site inspections to
  ensure work is completed to design and quality standards
• Assist with quality control checks
  on foundations, drainage, roads, and structures
  
•  Monitor construction progress and
  help prepare site reports and documentation
• Support coordination between
  subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
•  Help ensure compliance with health
  & safety regulations on site
  
•  Assist in resolving on-site technical
  issues and design queries
  
•  Contribute to project planning,
  scheduling, and tracking progress

Qualifications
& Experience

• Bachelor’s
  degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related
  engineering discipline
• Strong
  understanding of basic civil engineering and construction principles
• Ability
  to read and interpret construction drawings and site layouts
• Good
  numerical and analytical skills
• Strong
  communication and teamwork abilities, particularly on active construction
  sites
• Good
  organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Attention
  to detail, especially in relation to workmanship and quality control
• Proficiency
  in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with AutoCAD or similar
  software
• Awareness
  of health and safety procedures in construction environments
• Practical
  mindset with willingness to work outdoors in a site-based environment
• Eagerness
  to learn and develop within residential construction projects
