all of our new hires regardless of their experience to become ALTEA-certified
teachers to be able to effortlessly deliver engaging classes with both an
academic and professional focus. This training period includes theoretical and
practical components.

We offer
opportunities for our best-performing employees to obtain further training
throughout the year to teach advanced field-specific courses requiring higher
level qualifications.

In addition
to a candidate's commitment of a period of one academic year, eligible
candidates must possess:

• A
  bachelor's degree in Linguistics, English, Marketing and Communications, or Journalism (other fields may be of
  interest).
• In-depth
  knowledge of English grammar to explain concepts in the fewest words possible.
• Excellent
  written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding
  leadership abilities.
• Exceptional
  organizational skills.
• A
  magnificent ability to easily adapt to new applications and systems.
  
• In-depth
  knowledge of Zoom and its features as a host (Breakout rooms/Multiple Screen Sharing/ classroom control).
• Knowledge
  of Spanish is not a requirement but it is a strong asset.

Teachers
and Tutors at Academia Georgetown are given the resources and training to:

• Assess
  class and student levels to personalize our resources to each student.
• Mediate
  groups and motivate students to reach their goals using the Georgetown Method.
• Implement
  dynamic activities with a purpose that encourage communication and guarantee an
  effective learning outcome.
• Deliver
  high quality professional classes to all students.
• Evaluate
  and document students' progress (including, but not limited to grammar,
  vocabulary, reading, listening, writing and speaking) to provide a plan
  tailored to their needs using the Georgetown Method.
• Document
  and report class and student progress to the Dean and Administration.

Training
for the Academic year would ideally commence in August, we do
have a possibility for a summer opportunity with training beginning in July.
