Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is offering a structured Food & Beverage internship for students interested in developing their operational, leadership, and supervisory skills while experiencing American culture.
What You Will Experience
Phase I: Resort and Department Orientation
- Attend new employee orientation and learn Ocean Edge policies and procedures.
- Tour the resort and learn about the surrounding Cape Cod community.
- Become familiar with Ocean Edge’s guest-focused service culture.
- Meet Human Resources and Food & Beverage leadership.
- Learn how resort departments work together to provide exceptional service.
- Receive training on service sequences, menus, wine specifications, AAA hospitality standards, and restaurant procedures.
Phase II: Food & Beverage Operations and Leadership
- Learn the responsibilities of the Food & Beverage Division.
- Develop knowledge of restaurant positions, service standards, and training methods.
- Build supervisory skills and explore different leadership styles.
- Learn how managers balance the needs of guests, kitchen employees, service teams, and the overall operation.
- Understand how effective leadership, strategic planning, and service standards support outlet profitability.
Phase III: Supervisory Development
- Gain experience in additional Food & Beverage outlets, including Room Service and the Beach Restaurant.
- Learn American methods for supervising and supporting team members.
- Work with department leaders to understand all areas of Food & Beverage operations.
- Develop the skills needed to assist managers with training and onboarding seasonal employees.
Ideal Candidates
