Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) is an associated office of the Department of Justice, Home Affairs & Migration and plays a pivotal role in Ireland’s criminal justice system. Its mission is to provide the Irish Justice System with a high-quality integrated Forensic Service through independent, expert scientific analysis and advice to best international standards.

FSI now has vacancies for Forensic Scientists Grade III. Forensic Scientist Grade III is an entry level grade and offers a great opportunity for scientific and technical professionals as well as those embarking on their professional careers. Successful candidates will become part of a dynamic and growing professional STEM-based organisation in a progressive field that is critical for Ireland’s criminal justice system.

Reporting to an experienced forensic practitioner, Forensic Scientists Grade III are involved in delivering on a range of analytical techniques to produce casework with high credibility and rigour. Successful candidates will also help develop new techniques and processes to ensure that FSI is at the forefront of forensic technology and practice.
