The National Maternity Hospital Foundation raises vital funds to support world-class maternity, neonatal and women's healthcare at The National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, caring for around 7,000 families each year. We fund research, equipment, technology and patient support services that improve care and outcomes for women and babies. About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised professional who enjoys building relationships, telling compelling stories and growing support for women and babies.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Events Coordinator, you'll help deliver the Foundation's fundraising and marketing strategy through fundraising campaigns, marketing, communications and supporter engagement. As part of our small team, you'll lead some fundraising campaigns from concept to evaluation while supporting larger campaigns, appeals and events. You'll help grow income, build lasting relationships and tell the stories that demonstrate the impact of donor generosity.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Campaigns
- Lead and support a range of fundraising campaigns, appeals and events, taking ownership of designated campaigns from concept to evaluation.
- Build relationships with supporters, community fundraisers, volunteers and corporate partners while supporting the growth of regular giving.
- Work with clinicians, researchers and patients to share compelling stories that demonstrate the impact of donor support.
- Develop campaign resources and use supporter insights to improve fundraising activity.
- Deliver a programme of staff engagement within The National Maternity Hospital, raising awareness of the Foundation's work and inspiring staff to support fundraising initiatives.
Marketing & Communications
- Lead the Foundation's digital marketing across the website, email and social media.
- Create engaging content across fundraising appeals, newsletters, website, email and social media to inspire support and strengthen the Foundation's brand.
- Monitor digital performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement.
Supporter Experience & Stewardship
- Provide an outstanding supporter experience, acting as a key contact and ensuring timely acknowledgements, communications and merchandise.
- Build lasting relationships and support fundraisers throughout their fundraising journey while continually improving supporter stewardship and donor care.
CRM & Administration
- Maintain accurate supporter records and financial information in Donorfy while ensuring compliance with GDPR and Foundation policies.
- Produce reports and support the administration of fundraising campaigns and events.
- Provide general administrative support to the Foundation.
Working as Part of Our Team
- Contribute positively to the wider work of the Foundation, supporting colleagues across fundraising and organisational activities as required.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role, as reasonably required and agreed with the Executive Director.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and passionate about building relationships, telling stories and supporting a meaningful cause.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, customer engagement or a similar relationship-focused role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to create engaging digital content.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- A passion for storytelling, relationship building and supporter engagement.
- Experience using CRM systems and digital marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Canva) is desirable.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for improving the lives of women and babies.
