The Programme

As a participant on this programme, you will have the opportunity to benefit from rotations that will allow you to gain experience on some of the largest energy infrastructure projects in the country and be supported in your journey through a structured learning programme.

Experience

As a participant in the Gas Networks Ireland Graduate Programme, you will gain invaluable experience working in a selection of the following areas, some of which include:

  • Engineering projects

  • Future technology/materials development

  • IT/Engineering technology/Operational technology

  • Sustainability

  • Gas transportation/grid control

  • Gas safety

  • Asset management

In addition to best in class mentoring and on the job development, you will be given significant technical and personal development opportunities as part of the Graduate Programme. We also offer a wide range of Learning & Development opportunities for you to avail of.

On completion of this unique two-year programme, you will have gained invaluable experience and knowledge of each sector. Furthermore, you will have acquired a well-rounded perspective of the industry that will benefit your career, regardless of which area you choose to specialise in, giving you a significant competitive advantage over your peers.

Successful completion of the programme will require you to complete a number of rotations.

A competitive and fair salary will be offered.

The Programme will be on a full-time basis, starting in October 2027.

The Person

To be a successful candidate in this application process:

  • You are a recent or prospective graduate/postgraduate in a STEM discipline particularly in the areas including - Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Marine and Process Engineering, Instrumentation and Information Systems and Computing.

  • You have a track recordof academic success with Graduate or Post Graduate Qualification (minimum L8, 2:2).

  • You are a natural problem solver who relishes working in diverse teams, and you have strong communicationskills.

  • You naturally demonstrate initiative, innovation and drive, and a pride in the work you deliver.

  • You should also have strong IT skills with advanced MS Office and some Project Management software experience is desirable.

  • You must be fully eligible to work in Ireland for the duration of the programme.

You will preferably hold a full Driver’s Licence

Please note that successful applicants will be required to attend assessment centres as part of the Graduate Programme recruitment process.

The Assessment centres will take place on the 16th & 17th November in Dublin and on the 24th November in Cork.
